JBake like your favourite bakery – fresh, natural and homemade
Freshly baked pretzels, crispy lye rolls and golden-brown lye sticks – straight from your own oven. Sounds tempting? Then this baking class is just for you.
More and more people want to bake their own bread and pastries, knowing exactly what goes into them. In this hands-on class, Eve will guide you step by step through the process of making delicious traditional German lye pastries from scratch – using fresh ingredients, simple techniques and plenty of passion for baking.
The menu
Together we'll prepare a variety of traditional lye pastries, including classic pretzels, lye rolls, lye sticks, lye knots and cheese-topped lye sticks. Eve will show you each step of the process, from preparing the perfect dough to mastering the lye bath and shaping techniques, so you can confidently recreate these bakery favourites at home.
Learn it once – enjoy it again and again. With the techniques you learn in this class, you'll be able to surprise family and friends with freshly baked homemade lye pastries whenever you like. The focus is on enjoying the baking experience together: kneading, shaping, baking and, of course, enjoying your freshly baked creations straight from the oven.
About the course instructor
Asian cuisine and bread baking are Eve's greatest passions. As a child, she discovered her love for cooking in her grandmother's restaurant, where she learned the art of traditional Thai cuisine by watching and helping in the kitchen. Those early experiences inspired a lifelong passion for authentic flavours, fresh ingredients and handmade baking.
Today, Eve brings the flavours of Thailand to the Flavor Academy with warmth, passion and a touch of creativity. Alongside Thai cuisine, she especially loves bread baking and enjoys sharing her favourite recipes, baking techniques and practical tips with you.
Language
The baking class is held in a relaxed mix of German and English. Don't worry – every step is demonstrated clearly and explained in an easy-to-follow way. Baking brings people together, and once the aroma of freshly baked pretzels fills the room, language quickly becomes secondary.
